One of the many reasons why I chose Entrepreneurship as my specialization was the balance of theory and practices.
The teaching team believes that the best way to develop an entrepreneurial mind-set is to practice being an entrepreneur. There are many experiential program elements including value creation project, transaction creation exercise,case studies, presentation to external financial stakeholders...These really did help me to practice business skills and strategic thinking.
Transaction Creation Exercise-Paperclip Challenge
The paper clip challenge is to start with a paperclip and trade for somthing better.After five transactions we got: a Taylar made 4-iron, a $20 gift card and a fancy dinner.
What I learned from this interesting challenge was:

Value Creation Project-$5 Start-up Challenge
$ 5 start-up challenge is to make as much money as possible through a startup business initiative. What we got with only $5 during a mother's day weekend:
We successfully raised $400 for BC Cancer Foundation by selling Mothers’ Day bouquets!
